The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has completed the transition from paper submission of grant applications to electronic submission via the web portal through Grants.gov. All grant applications must be submitted by using the SF424 [Research and Research-related (R&R)] application attached and downloaded from the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).
FOA’s can be found by accessing the Weekly NIH FOA Notices Table of Contents at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/WeeklyIndex.cfm. Or, NIH Specific FOA’s can be found and downloaded from Grants.gov. At http://grants.gov/. FOA instructions will always override standard instructions for completing the SF424 (R&R) therefore, always follow the FOA instructions to complete your application.
Below is a checklist containing components needed to submit applications from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), as a Lead PI or a Collaborating (Co)-PI.
eRA Commons Accounts are required for PIs and Co-PIs. If you need to acquire an account, contact the NIH program office at nihoffice@ornl.gov.
