Make a Child’s Wish Come True

Your donations and generosity can provide much-needed school supplies and financial support for children at three Knoxville-area schools.

Contributions to ORNL’s “Make A Wish Come True: Empowering Children” effort will go to Fair Garden and Sam E. Hill family and community service centers, which provide preschool programs for low-income and minority families, and to Maynard Elementary School.

An account has been established at the ORNL Federal Credit Union, where staff members can donate cash or checks made out to the “Make a Wish Come True” fund. Donations also may be made by contacting Renae Humphrey at 576-7852 or humphreycr@ornl.gov.

Gifts of school supplies such as pencils, baby wipes, craft supplies and other items identified on the schools’ wish lists also are greatly appreciated. Please bring these items for donation to the Black History Month Celebration On Main Street, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., February 23.

The drive, sponsored by the Lab’s Black History Month Committee, lasts through February 23.
