Prior to getting laid off in 1997, Robin worked in Internal Staffing at Y-12 handling terminations. For three years, she worked for the President of a Transit company in Knoxville. There, she gained experience with Proposal writing, payroll and starting up new contracts in other states. Due to financial difficulties resulting in a RIF, Robin was laid off in 2000 and immediately signed up with Temp Systems, with hopes of getting to come back to what felt like “home” to work. Thus, she’s worked the full circle of what used to be just “Y-12, K-25 and now X-10”. “It feels good to be back home”, she says.
