Emergency Management

Emergencies may involve one individual or all employees; they may result in no equipment damage or considerable equipment damage, potentially impacting research projects. All laboratory employees are responsible for reporting, assessing, and resolving emergency situations within their areas of responsibility, as rapidly as possible. Any employee observing an emergency situation should notify the Local Emergency Supervisor (LES) for their facility, and/or call 911/LSS Office. The LES activates the Local Emergency Squad and informs the LSS of specific emergency details. The 911 call/LSS Office activates the emergency response sectors.
