Communicate Expectations

It important that the employee understand what is expected of him/her in the performance of his/her job. Normally this is based upon the agreement between the employee and the supervisor at the beginning of the fiscal year in accordance with the Development & Performance Management process (DPPR). However, if at any time during the performance period an employee fails to meet performance expectations, the supervisor should communicate this to the employee promptly.
